Scripture for Spiritual Warfare Put on the Full Armor of God:
The Authority of Believers: Greater Things Are Coming
When you are saved, the Holy Spirit dwells inside you. That’s a powerful truth. The term Christian literally means "little Christ." While of course, you are not Jesus, the significance of this term is incredible—you are a reflection of Christ.
Now, let that sink in for a moment. You’re not just called to be passive, merely watching what Jesus did. As a believer, you are given spiritual authority to speak and act in the same way Jesus did. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in authority, truth, and power.
The Power of Jesus' Words
Just as Jesus spoke with authority during His time on earth, we are called to speak with that same authority. The words you speak have power. The faith you walk in is not one of defeat but of victory, because you have the Holy Spirit within you.
A Powerful Promise: John 14:12
In John 14:12, Jesus makes a powerful promise to those who believe in Him:
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” — John 14:12 (NIV)
Jesus’ words here are not just for the disciples, but for all believers. This verse speaks of the promise that believers in Christ will not only continue the works that Jesus did, but they will do even greater things than these. Why? Because Jesus was going to the Father, and through the Holy Spirit, we are given divine authority to continue His mission on earth.
This is a profound truth: believers are called to greater things—empowered by the Holy Spirit, we carry the same authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, speak truth, and bring hope to the world. The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you.
Embracing Our Authority
As Christians, we are not meant to live as victims, doubting our worth or power. We are called to live as victors, walking in the authority given to us by Christ. That means speaking with power, living with purpose, and believing that God will work through us to do things that bring His Kingdom to earth.
So, when you face challenges, speak with the authority of a child of God. When the enemy tries to discourage you, remind him that you are empowered by the Holy Spirit and you will do greater things because of the power of Christ in you.
You Are Empowered!
You are a little Christ, not in the sense that you are Jesus, but in the sense that you carry His presence and His authority on earth. So let’s speak, act, and live out the powerful calling we’ve been given. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do the works Jesus did—and then some.
When we walk in that truth, we can expect to see lives changed, miracles unfold, and God's glory revealed in ways that go beyond anything we could imagine.
Remember: Greater things are ahead.
Anxiety and Panic: A Spiritual Battle and How to Overcome
Anxiety and panic attacks can feel paralyzing, but they are not just mental or emotional challenges—they are spiritual battles. The Bible clearly tells us that anxiety and fear are not from God. In fact, they are spirits that seek to overwhelm and control us. But the Lord gives us a different spirit, one of power, love, and a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 says:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." (NIV)
Look closely at this scripture. Notice that there is a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. The KJV translation uses the term "sound mind." This refers to a mind that is not in chaos or confusion, but one that is at peace, rooted in God’s truth.
Timidity, or fear, is defined as a lack of courage or confidence. But what does God give us instead? Courage. If you don’t feel courageous, that’s okay. It doesn’t mean God hasn’t given it to you. The spirit of courage is available to us, and we can tap into it, even when we don’t feel it.
Putting on the Armor of God
Before we fight against the principalities and powers of darkness, the Bible tells us we need to put on the full armor of God. In Ephesians 6:11, Paul urges us to:
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Why do we need this armor? Because the enemy is real. The devil is the author of confusion, not God. However, not everything is from the devil, and it’s important not to give him too much credit. Anxiety and panic are definitely spirits, but they don’t have the final say. If you’ve ever experienced an anxiety or panic attack, you know how terrifying it can be. Your body can feel as though it’s shutting down, and it may seem like you’re going to die. But here’s the truth: You are not going to die. You’re simply under attack.
In fact, I’ve repeatedly said out loud, “Nobody dies from anxiety,” because that’s exactly what the enemy wants you to believe. The devil is a liar. And while I encourage you to check with a healthcare professional to rule out any physical conditions, know that anxiety is not a sign of weakness or madness. You’re not crazy—even if it feels that way. Remember: You have a sound mind. You are not losing control. The truth is that crazy people don’t know they’re crazy. But you? You know the truth, and God’s Word says you have a sound mind.
Renewing Your Mind with God's Word
Our brains can be wired for trauma, but they can also be rewired for healing. Jesus is the healer of our minds, and He can transform us from the inside out. The Word of God is living and active, and it has the power to heal. As Romans 12:2 tells us:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
In my own life, I’ve seen the power of God's Word to rewire my mind with depression, and I have never experienced that spirit again and I used to be trapped in fear and anxiety, but through the Word of God, I found freedom. When you begin to speak God’s truth out loud, over and over again, you’re partnering with the Holy Spirit to bring supernatural healing to your mind and heart.
Scriptures to Speak Out-Loud and Meditate On
If you’re struggling with anxiety, fear, or panic, speak these scriptures out loud over your life. Don’t just read them—speak them with authority and faith. Meditate on them throughout your day. Print them out and place them where you can see them as a reminder of the truth. Let God’s Word renew your mind and bring peace to your heart.
1. I am a child of the Most High God.“I am Abraham’s seed, and I am an heir according to the promise.”— Galatians 3:29
2. I have authority in Jesus Christ.“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”— Luke 10:19“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'”— Romans 8:15
3. I will not die from anxiety.“I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.”— Psalm 118:17
4. I am healed, whole, and healthy.“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”— Isaiah 53:5
5. I have the mind of Christ.“For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”— 1 Corinthians 2:16
6. I am not alone. The Holy Spirit lives inside of me.“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”— Exodus 14:14“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”— Joshua 1:9
Breaking Free from Fear: Speaking Truth Over Lies
I know how scary anxiety and panic attacks can be. I’ve been there—on my knees, sobbing, crying out to God. But I also know the power of speaking out loud the promises of God. There’s something incredibly powerful about declaring the Word of God over your life.
Jesus said in Matthew 11:12, “The violent take it by force.” This means that when we are advancing in the Kingdom of God, we don’t back down from the enemy. We don’t let fear, panic, or anxiety rule over us. We fight with the truth of God’s Word, and the enemy has no choice but to flee.
Say this boldly: “Satan, back off. You have no authority over me. Anxiety, fear, panic, GET OUT NOW in the name of Jesus Christ! I am covered by the blood of Jesus. I have a sound mind, and I will not be shaken.”

You Are a Child of God, and You Are Healed By The Stripes of Jesus, Isaiah 53:5
Remember, you are not alone in this battle. If you’re born again, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. You have the power to overcome anxiety, fear, and panic because you are a child of God. His promises are true, and He will never leave you or forsake you.
Take a stand, put on the armor of God, and declare His Word over your life. Healing is yours through the finished work of Jesus on the cross. God still heals today, and while I am waiting, I am trusting God for a complete miracle.
